Has
the red beacon atop the vehicle not become the symbol of absurd display
of power being enjoyed by the politicians & other functionaries for
which they are not entitled as per Central Motor vehicles Rules 1989.
Public should know that only 27
categories of public functionaries have been permitted to use the red
beacon while on duty. Public should also aware that no one misuses his
power or position to show off his/her status by flouting the rules. If
anybody is found illegally using the red beacon, then it should be
brought to the notice to the concerned authority.
