English translation of Selected urdu poetry.

                          Beautiful turn.
Let us once again we become strange each other.
We neither expect from you the emotional support.
Nor you look at me with erotic eyes & wanton taste.
Nor my heart beats reflect interrupting in my chat.
Nor the mystery of your perplexity reveal with your sight.

The dilemmas that prevent you too, go for love ahead
People tell me too, these glimpses are unneeded
I too had the stories of humiliation years of old.
You too had in memory the past overshadow cloud.

If Acquaintance starts ailing then it is better to forget.
If we feel the burden of relation then it is better to break.
Tale, that is not possible to bring true to its results.
It is better to relinquish, giving it beautiful outlook.
Let us once again we become strange each other.

English translation of Sahir Ludhyanvi famous Nazm "TAJ MEHAL"

                            TAJ MEHAL
For you Taj may be symbol of love’s manifestation
You may have crazy faith for this vale of attraction

O beloved meet me somewhere else from this station

No reason for being the poor in royal congregation.
Testimony of magnificent aristocracy in the way
Whereupon lovelorn spirit travel is of no justification.

O my beloved, in the backdrop of bulletin of love
You must have at least seen the elegant vestiges?
Fondling with the tombs of expired emperors
You must have at least seen your hopeless houses.

Countless people have loved in this world.
Who says that they were not true to their stand?                                                                                                                                                 But they were without the means of message.
Because those people like ourselves were in need.

These superstructures, monuments & forts
Glorifying pillars of sovereign’s rulers.
On the face of the world that architecture
wherein our ancestor’s blood combine together.

My beloved, those were also having deep love.
Who imparted the beauty to this tomb of marble?
No traces of the graves of those dearest ones.
So far no one has come to light over a candle.

This orchard, palace & bank of Jamuna’s river
This carved, painted walls domes & arches.
One emperor on the basis of state exchequer
He mocked at the sincere love of poor peoples.

English translation of urdu Nazm "kissey Kahun".

To whom we say?

This is a dumb world with whom I converse?
To whom our own pain & distress I disclose?

Spirit is rusty having the worldly greed.
Mean are those who keep the affection creed.

Today what happened to the bondage of affinity?
Where has gone the previous relation priority?

Don’t know who has strewn the throngs in the path?
Who has extinguished the flame of love’s warmth?

Who came & set ablaze the abode of affection?
Who trotted each one on the path of emulation?

Who has snatched away the harmony of hearts?
Who has wiped out the kinships vital parts?

Who polluted the poison of hostility in the air?
Who caused to weep the people of cheerful nature?

Today, who looted life’s delightful days?
O lord, with whom I whisper our heart ways?

Nobody then o’ abode from you only I implore.
Where have gone those days to which I explore

O’ home tell me on oath, what did not occur?
Whoever came at your entrance became familiar

You still remember those pleasurable moments.
In your shadows, we used to share feeling instants.

Only you advise me to whom we call for chat?
Where are those who endeared me to their heart?

Hopeless heart not hankers for the world’s cheer.
If possible, then plan to bring our soul mates near

String of stories during the season of cold nights
Even on the grudge & grumble they had no fights

Buds of bliss & blessing blossomed in your terrace.
Men used to meet in your home with benevolence

A time when screams would shrill in your sky
In sorrow of beloved tears trickled from the eye

We all shared each other sorrows & delights
Now shadow of selfishness smothered our insights.

That is also an orphan for whom there is no one
Despite having all kinship in world, he has none

No one rebuilds the embittered relationship
Hopeful for glimpses but no one comes up

O heart, nobody has the motherly heart.
Now the world is not worthy for living part.

Whenever any delight will descend in my gallery
That converts into crisis & will curtain my faculty

O’ gate of home, Come on it is an Eid to embrace
Nobody will appear here to give you their glance

In home, who has spread these clean bed covers?
For whom, who has shed the torrents of tears?

Who is holding in gloom the lights of lamp?
Who is ready for the remedy of my cramp?

Whose distant voices are hitting to my ears?
A strange wave of isolation bringing me dithers.

Who will now command me asking for the contact?
Who will make me sleep resting his hands on my chest?

Who will wipe out my trickling tears?
I am deserted who will talk me with titters?

Home is isolated, let it now be neglected
Silent, strange let me remain separated.

In ruin & ravages let it remain immersed.
If all abandoned, then let me remain cursed.

O house, how much sad are you today?
You too are alone as nobody is in your way.

“Mayaar” mortality of life is now approaching near
Place where deeds reaps its result nearing you there
